About OUR COLLEGE MISSION
The College is established in the year 2008 with an aim to achieve high ideals for future teachers. It is one among the Colleges of teacher education started under self-financing scheme during 2005 and was permanently affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University. Our College is presently affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.
The Government of Tamil Nadu by an act of legislature have established the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University in the State of TamilNadu for promoting excellence in Teachers education with effect from 01.07.2008.
National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has accorded its recognition by order no:
- To motivate the students to take interest in social causes in view of a better world without distinction of caste, creed and class.
- To enable them to relate all knowledge to this social task.
- To provide an integral and all-round development of personality.
- To give quality education and to develop a taste for excellence.
- To concentrate on equipping the students with practical skills.
- To enable them to experiment appropriate techniques and methodologies.
- To make them reflect on the life situation of the downtrodden and study scientifically the causes of their plight with a view to provide a platform for progress.
- To help them acquire self-confidence and a positive approach to develop their leadership qualities.
- To impart communication and inter-personal skills.
- To concentrate on character building by fostering noble qualities based on a well-developed social conscience.
The motto of the College is “Arise & Shine”. It invites the poor and the marginalized in the district, towards the awakening of the fulfillment of their dreams. This institution aims at imparting value based training to the student-teachers from whom the poor and the marginalized will arise from ignorance and poverty, and shine as human persons with dignity and honour.
The vision of Annai Madha College of Education is to give shape to the society whose life breath is human excellence. It strives to produce committed and enlightened service-oriented agents to educate the downtrodden, the poor and the marginalized, who in turn will arise and shine, spreading the rays of God’s wisdom and knowledge in every nook and corner of this world at large.
